An Award-Winning and independent housebuilder are looking to appoint a Development Engineer or an Assistant Development Engineer to join and work with a well respected and experienced Technical and Engineering team who are extremely well thought of in the industry.

Based around the Preston area with sites in and around the Lancashire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester areas, you’ll be joining a family company who have been established for a near 100 years and have a reputation for excellent staff retention. A candidate I placed there 3 years ago reiterated in a conversation last week what a good company they are to work for, too.

You'd fit into an existing team between a Technical Director (8 years in the business), a Technical Manager (7 years), a Senior Development Engineer and a Trainee Engineer - so there's plenty of experience both in technical terms and of the business for you to learn off.

Additionally, they’ve recently hit the headlines for promoting many of their staff into higher positions which I think was a great move fostering company morale in what’s still quite uncertain times in the housebuild world. What more proof would you need that progression is a real possibility in this business?

First of all, you’ll get a competitive salary which is negotiable and up to the £50,000’s (depending on your experience) for the right man or woman and starting from £40,000ish for an Assistant. It really does depend on your experience, personality and how you’d fit (and how the business fits for you).

You’ll be joining a company that has an excellent plan for the next couple of years working under an Director and Technical Manager who know the business inside out. This is in addition to 26 days holiday, your salary plus car/car allowance and 26 days holiday.
