Developing yourself as an Assistant Site Manager in the right business can be a tough task – more often than not there’s something blocking your progress. You might find yourself paired with a Site Manager who hasn’t left his cabin since the last Covid lockdown, you might find yourself dumped with a load of customer care issues from hell, you might have joined a business who have no interest in your personal development or your might have joined a business who’ve told you after your first month that your next site is in Skegness. I have an Assistant Site Manager role in the Blackburn area with a family firm who like to cut out the red tape of other PLC’s and one who have a pipeline of work covering Greater Manchester over the next 5 years all covering the affordable sector. This site well underway, 127 units in total split into apartments (50 traditional builds) and houses (70 timber frame). It's motoring at the minute, well ahead of schedule, primarily because there's an experienced SSM and SM who're putting the push on. You'd come in as an experienced Assistant with at least 2 years experience to sit on the timber frame houses with the Senior Site Manager. This element of the site is right at the start.
He said: 'it's fast paced, we're well ahead of schedule, I'd want to work someone who's got something about them, someone who can crack on and get on with it ideally who's looking to step up to Site Manager by the time it's finished'.
They operate and excellent Development Management system which reduces snagging issues as much as possible by using various computerised checks at the relevant stages of build and with all their sites being for Housing Associations, you’re not dealing with awkward customers anymore.

Summary:
Experienced Assistant Site Manager with at least 2 years experience wanted for housing site in Blackburn.
Ideally you'll have timber frame experience and be used to working at pace.
Under the mentorship of a Senior Site Manager and a Site Manager, they'd like you operating more or less at Site Manager level.
Excellent salary between £35,000 up to £40,000 plus benefits for the right person.
