29AUG24 - Vacancy closed - FILLED BY CLIENT

One of the Northwest’s leading Civil Engineering firms are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to supplement their commercial team at a critical point in their growth - and if you’re the type of person that likes to be rewarded for working hard, this could be the place for you – they’re a business who say ‘what you put in, you get out’ with the members in their commercial team earning excellent bonuses and pay rises last year for doing just that.

The firm, with offices in Manchester and Altrincham (you can work from either), covers several sectors over the civils elements on housing, pharma, electrical and solar sites throughout the UK.  Their attention to detail and no-nonsense approach has given them an excellent reputation in delivering ‘top, top quality jobs with excellent profit margins’ and you would come in as an additional QS to supplement the next steps in that growth.

Ideally from a background in construction, you would join this business on a permanent basis and assist with anything and everything that makes a top Quantity Surveyor a success in a company. If you’ve a civils background then great, although they’ll look at you if you come from a main contractor background, too – think Seddon, Lovell’s, Vistry etc.

They’re a tight and already successful company already so you’d be coming into the business to hit the ground running.  Around for well over 20 years, they cover such sectors as housing, utilities, highways and construction there’s plenty for you to get your teeth into.  They consider themselves a ‘grounded’ business at heart who prefer the ‘common-sense and switched-on’ approach and with a secured pipeline of work already secured for next year, the Quantity Surveyor role, along with a couple of more top-level appointments, would be central to that success.

The package, as always for these roles, is negotiable but we’d be looking at a base between £50,000 to £60,000 plus various extras on top.  For the right person with a proven pedigree, someone who wants to get out of the role what they put in, this would be a fantastic next step in your career.

Summary:
  • Proven Civils or Contractor based Quantity Surveyor required for an established Manchester based Civil Engineering firm.

  • Required – a background in construction with a major civils or build contractor.

  • Established business with revenues over several sectors are expected to hit 50 million pounds this year.

  • Excellent package and salary offered with interviews taking place immediately.

  • Ideally, they would be looking for you to interview and start ASAP.
