An excellent opportunity as a Health and Safety Advisor is available to join a new build housing business in Merseyside, one who’ll enable you to work on some on some of the most exciting re-generation projects in the area while allowing you a genuine work-life balance as well as ‘supporting your ambition in a welcoming environment’ – all this alongside one of the best supporting benefits packages I know in the industry.
You’d be joining the business in a time of growth, the position being a new one in the business, and although reporting to and supported by a Head of Safety and a H&S Manager, they’ll be looking for you to hit the ground running and so you’ll have worked in Health and Safety roles autonomously in other new build housing businesses.
They’re looking for you to be all the bits that are your strengths – for you to get involved with all the teams on a personal level and to fit-in with the various site, commercial and construction teams, for you to be an enabler and for you to click with the guys on the site – one of the most important aspects of the role. You’ll be an all-rounder capable of running your own diary, working independently and being supportive of all around you.
In return, you’ll be joining an established team who are running H&S scores at 99%, the highest in the overall group. You’ll have a varied day, the builds covering all different methods of new build (traditional, timber, metsec) over hi-rise and low-rise apartments, houses and care homes and they’ll also be elements of packages thrown in – refurbishments, roofing, fire safety etc.
They’ll offer you flexible working – preferably office based but with the opportunity to work from home – and set hours at 37 per week. The pension scheme is the best I know in the business at 9% matched as are the days holiday – 27 days PLUS Bank Holidays which can be boosted with volunteer work. Salary is very competitive for the position - up to £48,000 - and you’ll be paid mileage only on your vehicle.
