Looking for your next Site Manager role in a Greater Manchester business that can offer you a simple chain of command, a relaxed non-PLC environment and the chance to take on brand new sites in the future due to an excellent pipeline of work? If so, this would be an excellent opportunity for you to get your foot in the door as I’m recruiting for two (potentially three) Site Managers in the East Manchester, Tameside and Peaks areas - so basically anyone living East of Manchester who is
interested would get something on their doorstep.
This family business, who go quietly about their work with none of the ‘in-your-face’ approach you get at some builders, are looking to add new Site Managers to their teams, ideally someone who has worked on timber frame and traditional build apartments and houses previously (the Tameside one is steel frame so this is important). Ideally, you’ll have minimum 2+ years as a Site Manager ideally covering house build and apartment build with these sites ranging from 30-60 units.
There's no ego's here and the culture is one of placing responsibility, not blame, on the personnel within the business. Over the last 4 years they’ve become one of the well-known contractors in the Northwest, specialising in new build affordable homes, a lot of it repeat business for local housing associations, and are open to you coming from that type of background OR from a large open market housing developer.
Offering a package of early £40,000's up to around early £50,000’s for the bigger sites in Tameside and the Peaks, there’s a car allowance on top plus pension, a company-wide bonus and a general really great place to work (from my feedback on over 20 placements in the last 5 years).
I have worked with this company for several years and the biggest compliment I can give them is that employees don’t tend to move on from this business – they must be doing something right, so if you want a place realise your potential or if you’ve been stuck in a grinding machine elsewhere I’d say this is the place to be.
Summary:
Site Managers required for three sites in East Manchester, Tameside and The Peaks.
All sites are either brand new or right at the start of their build.
Immediate start for the right candidate and offering salary between £42,000 to early £50,000’s plus package.
