A regional contractor who specialise in new build affordable homes are looking for a Site Manager to complete a 12 month fixed-term project in Wallasey on the Wirral - and with this one there's a couple of twists on the development that require a particular set of skills - if you're a match the overall package is one of the best out there so please read on.

A small site of just 15 timber frame houses to be built to a high specification on a tight and logistically challenging site set back off a main road, if you've a good civils background that is a good start - there'll be insitu concrete retaining walls required to make this happen.

Six of the timber frame plots are half way built (roof on, no brick and block) and at a separate part of the site so you'll be required to pick those up and then build the remaining plots - timber frame experience is a must - and so is your experience on design and build sites with a contractor. 

That's because the Director wants you to be proficient with take-offs and requisitions, too, as from his experience he feels it adds to the quality of the site if you're able to fully understand the drawings from Estimation stage to completion.  This ain't going to be the be all and end all of everything on site (it'd be mostly the brick and block and joinery take-offs such as door and window schedules) but you'd be well ahead of the other applicants if this is in your armoury.  

And what's in it for you?  Well, we can organise quick starts and interviews for you based on your match to the above.  Salary wise we're talking in and around the £50,000 plus £4500.00 car allowance mark BUT there is flexiblity on that for the right person.

Where the juicy bits come in is the overall package - we're talking 27 days holiday PLUS Bank Holidays with up to 9% matched pension contributions - these are up there with the best I've seen and when compared against others add quite abit onto your overall £££.  They are also hot on work/life balance and offer a set 39 hour week with strict guidelines on not going over that unless needs must - even then you're able to claim that back in lieu.
